"Not your cup of tea: Reflections on the misunderstood "Tough Love" therapist

"You are not everyone's cup of tea and that's okay!" my therapist decisively said to me and now I share this wisdom with you. I had to work on accepting this fact many times--as a business owner, therapist, writer, and friend.

Pleasing everyone in the realm of service has made me question my state of being. When this happens, God, the universe, angels or my world of 'there is no such thing as a coincidence' is reminding me of the importance of going within to reflect, recalibrate, and reevaluate my current circumstance.

In the end, the outcome of this process revealed the truth to myself and to the world--in spiritual truth, there is only one unique me and it's okay if not everyone likes me.

The process of self-realization is never easy, most times it is downright scary. The task of going on a deep soul searching journey, where you can no longer hide from the reflection of your actions, words, and state of being, can sometimes be too much. But the promise of a positive, upgraded version of YOURSELF is the result and isn't that worth your time?

When you first REFLECT, then ACT, and finally OWN who you are in all aspects of being, then your world is in balance with the law of attraction which governs your surroundings.
You are literally manifesting and creating your current reality.

Analyze from an objective perspective.

What is the positive outcome you wish to achieve?

How do we achieve this goal?

What is this challenge requiring out of you?

What are your deepest honest feelings in the matter?

Are you projecting your insecurities or are they?

Are you in denial, deflection, or stressed state?

These questions are a necessary step and need to be truthfully answered.

Through this process, be flexible to the many thoughts and feelings which ebb and flows within you.

If there are remaining doubts and questions, then explore them until there are nonexistent. Go deeper and determine which aspect of you (Archetypes) has revealed themselves. Stare deeply into the abyss of your reflection and honestly say,

"I am happy with my present actions, ways, and choice of being."

If the result is a light heart, a smile and the comfortable flow of breathing throughout the body then you did it!

If you are still rocking back and forth in the chair of insecurities--recognizable by a tightening of the chest or stomach, and remnants of defensive, argumentative thoughts in your head--then your act of self-care isn't quite finished.

Take your time. Be selfish. God, your higher self, angels, the universe, etc., interrupted your life from its daily programming. Heed the alarming sounds and sights of a soul emergency.

If you EMBODY who you are, the decisions you've made, the actions you have taken, and the current life you live, then what else is there to be insecure about?

Through this process, I have learned, that I am the 'tough love' giver and taker in life.

C'est La Vie

I value ACCOUNTABILITY for myself and require it from others to achieve a positive state or outcome. A personal moral code for myself to be true to who I am.

I reiterate I trust in the law of attraction of vibrational frequency. I am not everyone's cup of tea and if somehow one does choose my strong brew of reality, then there is an ultimate divine reason. Either for me or themselves. There is no such thing as coincidences, only synchronicity.

Who, what, and how have you become after this journey of SELF-DISCOVERY?

Trust in the process and love wins all, specially SELF-LOVE! Blessings to all and happy holidays!
